The Rocque Paper Co. is an independent Jersey based paper maker and gift shop specializing in paper made by hand from locally sourced and recycled materials. Rocque Paper is a trusted studio loved for their sustainable, collaborative, and beautifully made paper products and stationery.
As a relatively young business, Rocque Paper came to us in need of a full brand to get them noticed and help grow their audience. They wanted a brand that would leave their customers feeling inspired and delighted. Vintage vibes and a sprinkle of ‘magic’ were high on this client’s list, while also ensuring that the brand thoughtfully represented their mission and values.

The style
What resulted in a fun and creative process for our team led to a brand that is imaginative and whimsical but intentional in equal measure. The logo is feminine and balanced with typography that is soft and playful. A custom illustrated paper boat adds character and whimsy while keeping the brand both memorable and local to the islands.
Colour and typography
A minimal one-colour palette incorporates two shades of blue alongside contrasting shades of black and cream, grounding the brand in its values and helping to keep printing more sustainable. An alternative script font gives the brand a vintage look, evoking memories of sending hand-written cards in the mail, and gives the brand versatility.

The extra touch
For Rocque Paper Co, we know we needed to create a larger than usual variety of brand marks to ensure a highly flexible brand that could be applied to dozens of formats and types of paper. Custom illustrated icons were also created to add playful character and help show customers the values that matter most to them, like animal conservation and protecting the environment. The icons have also been turned into stamps and stickers, giving this brand even more personality and versatility across both digital and printed formats.
